The Indian Air Force Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) Competition, commonly known as the MRCA Tender, is an ongoing competition to supply the Indian Air Force with 126 Multi-Role Combat Aircraft with option to buy 50-70 more. The Defence Ministry has allocated Rs. 42,000 crore for the purchase of these aircraft (Approx. US$10.5 billion). Six aircraft were bid for this multi-billion dollar contract, which has been touted as India's single largest defence deal ever Six aircraft were bid for the order - the Saab JAS 39 Gripen, Eurofighter Typhoon, Dassault Rafale, Mikoyan MiG-35 and the American F-16 IN (fighting falcon) and F/A-18IN (F-18 super hornet) if you like my videos, then please rate comment and subscribe
