Out of all the places i'd been in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, I think this place was the sanest, and Adrian was the sanest person i'd met in California. I'd arm myself to the teeth and surround myself with guns in every car and room I owned too if I lived there. In Detroit, at least you know a thug when you see 'em, in California, everyone's so fake and insane you feel like they could come at you from anywhere.. It was like Beverly Hills Robocop. On another note, In Canada, you can't get a handgun unless you're a cop, a soldier, a criminal who buys them on the street, or you sign up to a gun club and become a "sports shooter" who has to sign up for a course and get a licence (coughgovernmentcashgrabcough). Why we don't let anyone who wants one buy one in a store and keep it at home just in case of crime/apocalypse is a mystery beyond me. Our crazy laws seem written to annoy normal people with paperwork and fees, while our criminals just get it from the black market for much less than the total cost to acquire the exact same gun legally... (That's really unfair if you think about it). I think legalizing and regulating things is the smart, economic way of eliminating organized crime, but what do I know?
