David Coulthard zipped down Bandra - Worli Sea link on October 11th 2009 as a part of the first ever Formula 1 Show Run in Mumbai - Red Bull Speed link. Driving down the Sea link and Reclamation, he thrilled Mumbaikars with some smoking 360 degree spins on the Red Bull Racing F1 Car. Much to the delight of all the fans, he did a victory lap in the Red Bull Sampling Car waving the Indian flag to the enthusiastic crowds who had turned up for the show. All in all a truly action packed Race Day with Red Bull Racing in Mumbai!

Scheduled at 7am, the Bandra end of the link was opened on time and weather gods did not play truant with the city experiencing only light showers around that time. RP Khot, senior police inspector, Worli traffic police said, We have speed guns. We have also installed ramblers for reducing the speed on the BWSL. Aditya will be booked for rash driving, overtaking thereby endangering others life. The CCTV grab will help us book the culprit. It clearly shows Aditya overtook and lost control.
After the last accident, the Bandra police have now written to the MSRDC deman-ding an explanation, as the camera footage would've been proof of the complainant's (cab driver) statement against the Skoda driver.

It was a great evening and a great treat for Mumbaikar's to witness the spectacular laser show and fireworks on the eve of inauguration of the much awaited Bandra-Worli sea link.
The bridge, seemed like a sparkling jewel during the show.
It was an orchestrated display of multi-coloured lasers and fireworks of aerial shells and other spectacular illuminating display.
The show was visible from the sea fronts in Shivaji Park, Dadar, Bandra, Worli and Mahim in the evening of 29th June 2009.
