The term "Ishq" :A state of a heart when it is captivated/drenched in utmost love...to be solely driven by extreme love.
Rough translation:
Your cries are not ripe yet.
hold 'em in your chest for little bit more.
Intellect matures when it thinks about pros and cons.
Ishq, if thinks about pros and cons, is still immature.
Ishq fearlessly jumped into the firey blaze set by Namrood.
Intellect is, still standing on the sideline, just watching.
As soon as Ishq gets message, it gets going on what it has been asked to do.
Intellect keeps contemplating the message.
The wine-giver got mad when you politely told that you dont drink.
He said...
"you're still thinking about the outcomes" (i.e. come on now! drink the wine which gets you high on Ishq).

With my message, there is disturbance in you being.
Disturbance that is quaking the idols of your soul.
Hoor and angels are within my reach of my visions,
I interrupt your being with my insights.
Though i am constraint in time in space
my ideas are shaking up muslims and non-muslims alike.
At times my sahrp sight pierced through the heart of the matters.'
At times it got entangled in its own empty ideas
What have you done, oh God...you have exposed me to me.
I was the only secret in the chest of this universe.

"Shikwa" is a lengthy poem. In the interest of attention spans on internet, it has been split into two halves using a unique method. Its as you would unzip a DNA strand and get two halves. The hope is that, insha'Allah, the nature of "Shikwa", its meaning and its feel remains intact in both halves. The openings and the endings are kept same on both halves on purpose. Excellent Excellent Translation by an unknown person...Anonymous. May Allah (swt) tremendously bless him/her for this effort ...

Shikwah (The Complaint) by allama Iqbal علامہ اقبال[Part 2].
This famous Urdu poem is written in 1911 at Lahore. Here Iqbal is complaining to Allah about the condition of Muslims. He was then a Professor of Philosophy at Government College, Lahore. A year later he wrote Jawab-e-Shikwah (Response to the Complaint). Shikwa (شکوہ) is from Bang-i-Dara [1924], Iqbal's first philosophical poetry book in Urdu.
I dedicate this work to Iqbal, the great poet-philosopher of Islam.
