Anwar is a Muslim who lives a middle-class lifestyle in Lucknow, India, along with his mom, brother, and Bhabhi, Suraiya. Anwar is doing a research on ancient Hindu Mandirs. They rent out a room to a poor widow and her attractive daughter, Mehru. Anwar falls in love with her. Anwar is certain of Mehru's love for him, but is shocked when he finds out that she has eloped with Udit, his Hindu friend, who is about to immigrate to America. He informs her mother, who in turn calls upon her nephew and other kith and kin, to locate Mehru. They do locate the couple abroad a bus, Udit is killed, while Mehru is beaten and ultimately hangs herself. A guilt-ridden Anwar takes shelter in an ancient Mandit in Dholpur and his bag, which contained drawings of Mandirs and notes on 'Lord Krishna', 'Devi Maa Meera', and 'Mehru'. This bag ends up with the Police and they believe that Anwar is a terrorist who is planning to detonate bombs in sacred Hindu temples. The place is surrounded by Police, politicians who are anxious to win the Hindu vote, the media, and a huge crowd who are here to see the show. Anwar contemplates his life and gets visits from 3 people. The first is an extremist Imam, who tells him to kill himself rather than surrender; the second is Police Superintendent Ashok Tiwari, who wants him to surrender quickly so that he can be with his ailing wife and young daughter; and the third is media-person, Anita, who wants a live interview so that she can establish her credibility with her boss. Set amongst post 9-11 scenario, amidst the craze for Valentine's day, Britney Spears, Osama Bin Laden, George W. Bush, and the American way of life, Anwar must now examine his options - the question is what will he ultimately decide?

Synopsis:
Suraj is a bachelor and a leading industrialist, who is still recovering from being separated from his love, Sushma. He would like to build a hotel in the same region where he met Sushma for the first time, and asks his secretary, Lalwani, to make arrangements. Lalwani meets with real estate agent, Chhaganlal Patel, and they procure a plot on a scenic lot and start the construction. They are assisted by Chhagan's gorgeous secretary, Shabho; a lawyer, Kapoor; Judas a local resident; Mahendraprasad Gupta, a government official; and Gadhucha, a labor contractor. When the hotel is complete, Suraj is thrilled and he asks his friend, Vijay, to check it out before he gets there. Since Vijay is busy, he asks his brother, Sanjay, to check things out, and he would follow a day or two later. When Vijay and Suraj get there, they are quite pleased with the construction, and the locale. But find that Sanjay is missing. Efforts to locate him are in vain. Then one by one the people who helped build the hotel die under mysterious circumstances. The phone lines are dead, and the only road is blocked by a landslide. It slowly becomes clear to Vijay and Suraj that the hotel was constructed on an abandoned graveyard, and the mysterious deaths could only be linked to a inhuman forces that are out for vengeance.

They find a letter along with his body and a photograph, which points towards another traveller, Dharamdar (Dhumal) being the killer. But in no time, they find Dharamdas dead in the courtyard. Only five people- three men and two women-are now alive. They start blaming each other when they find doctor Acharya (Madan Puri) stabbed at the back. Now the foursome left alive and scared are, Rakesh (Pran), Kitty (Helen), Asha and Anand. Rakesh makes Kitty and Asha believe that Anand is the man behind the murders. But no sooner, Kitty followed by Rakesh are murdered too. Anand is missing when the murdered attacks Asha, who then carries her to his 'Adda" where he masks himself. The murderer is non other than Madusudan Sharma, aka Madanlal, who had killed her uncle, and later his other partner.The plan was to kill her and take over the business empire. Finally he gets caught by Anand who is an under cover policeman. Anand and Asha, now in love, escape by flight from the ill fated island to live happily ever after.

As a result of this, Munni, her docile sister, enters the mansion, where the witch turns the little girl into a hen! Chunni is hysterical when she discovers this. She runs from pillar to post to get help, but her credibility is at an all-time low and the entire village refuses to believe her, so Chunni finally enters the haunted mansion alone to search for her sister.
In the mansion she comes face to face with the witch, she pleads with the witch to let her poor little sister go, as it was no fault of hers. But the witch asks her to strike a deal. She will turn Munni back into a human only if Chunni can acquire for her hundred hens in exchange.
All of a sudden, Chunni is confronted with the biggest challenge of her life. How she over comes this task becoming the hero of the village in an unexpected climax is worth a watch.
