The Nehru-Gandhi dynasty starts with the Mughal man named Ghiyasuddin Ghazi.
He was the City Kotwal i.e. police officer of Delhi prior to the uprising of
1857, under the Mughal rule. After capturing Delhi in 1857, in the year of
the mutiny, the British were slaughtering all Mughals everywhere. The
British made a thorough search and killed every Mughal so that there were no
future claimant to the throne of Delhi. The Hindus on the other hand were
not targeted by the British unless isolated Hindus were found to be siding
with the Mughals, due to past associations. Therefore, it became customary
for many Mohammedans to adopt Hindu names. So, the man Ghiyasuddin Ghazi
(the word means kafir-killer) adopted a Hindu name Gangadhar Nehru and thus
saved his life by the subterfuge. Ghiyasuddin Ghazi apparently used to
reside on the bank of a canal (or Nehr) near the Red Fort. Thus, he adopted
the name 'Nehru' as the family name. Through out the world, we do not find
any descendant other than that of Gangadhar, having the surname Nehru. The
13th volume of the "Encyclopedia of Indian War of Independence"
(ISBN:81-261-3745-9) by M.K. Singh states it elaborately. The Government of
India have been hiding this fact.
City Kotwal was an important post like today's Commissioner of Police. It
appears from Mughal records that there was no Hindu Kotwal employed. It was
extremely unlikely for a Hindu to be hired for that post. Compulsorily only
Mohammedans of foreign ancestry were hired for such important posts.
Jawaharlal Nehru's second sister Krishna Hutheesing also mentions in her
memoirs that her grandfather was the city Kotwal of Delhi prior to 1857's
uprising when Bahadur Shah Zafar was still the sultan of Delhi. Jawaharlal
Nehru, in his autobiography, states that he have seen a picture of his
grandfather which portrays him like a Mughal nobleman. In that picture it
appears that he was having long & very thick beard, wearing a Muslim cap and
was having two swords in his hands. Jawaharlal Nehru also states in his
autobiography that on their way to Agra (a seat of Mughal influence) from
Delhi, the members of his grand father's family were detained by the
British. The reason for the detention was their Mughal features. They
however pleaded that they were Kashmiri Pandits and thus got away. The Urdu
literature of the 19th century, especially the works of Khwaja Hasan Nizami,
are full of the miseries that the Mughals and Mohammedans have to face then.
They also describe how Mughals escaped to other cities to save their lives.
In all probability, Jawahar Nehru's Mughal grandfather and his family were
among them.

Jawaharlal Nehru was a person that India adores. He was undoubtedly a very
sound politician and a gifted individual. But, the Government of India has
not built a memorial of Jawaharlal Nehru at his birth place 77 Mirganj in
Allahabad, because it is a brothel. The entire locality is a well known red
light area since long. It has not become a brothel recently, but it has been
a brothel even before Jawaharlal Nehru's birth. A portion of the same house
was sold by his father Motilal Nehru to a prostitute named Lali Jaan and it
came to be known as "Imambada". If you have some doubt, you may visit the
place. Several dependable sources and also
encyclopedia.com & Wikipedia say this. Motilal
Nehru along with his family, later shifted to Anand Bhawan. Remember that
Anand Bhawan is Jawaharlal Nehru's ancestral house and not his birth place.
M. O. Mathai of Indian Civil Service served as the Private Secretary to
Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Mathai has written a book "Reminiscences of
the Nehru Age" (ISBN-13: 9780706906219).In the book Mathai reveals that
there was intense love affair between Jawaharlal Nehru and Edwina
Mountbatten (wife of the last Viceroy to India, Louis Mountbatten). The
romance was a source of great embarrassment for Indira Gandhi, who used to
seek Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's help in persuading her father to be little
discreet about their relationship.

So elderly was he that the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, more than fifty years ago, said that his father had sat at the feet of Devraha Baba as a child - that is, in the middle of the nineteenth century - and Devraha Baba was already elderly at that time.
This rare video footage was recorded for a russian television channel around 1987-1989, so it is not in English.

Reporter say: This is Devraha Baba, who lives on this wooden platform. He is not a robber or a psycho but a person highly honored and respected not only in India but also far from its borders. He was visited on many occasions by famous and rich Kashigy (?), Sultan of Brunei (?), artists and actors - Liz Taylor, Roger Moore; rulers of India that visited him were Indira Gandhi and Radjiv Gandhi, and ministers of the government.
So it is our turn now to see him! Let see what is happening these are high power people from Delhi that brought their children suffering from diarrhea. Conventional drugs would not help them so these people are using alternative methods to deal with their problems.
Baba cures people using only words and by touching them using his foot. Up to 3,000 people come to see him daily, some for advise, some to get healed and others just to see him.
As we can see, people are sitting by the fence and waiting for when Baba would give them a sign to approach. It happens that people being sent away by means of his young helper. Rumors about this wise man spread from eastern India, state of Bihar in the mid-1950s, when a village was attacked by a pack of wild bears eating people. That is when Baba appeared from one of the huts and stopped the bears by raising his hand. Since then Baba was seen in other parts of India.
He could understand the language of animals, heal people by his look or word, give advice and tell the future. In the past he would do predictions of political future for whole countries. For that he was once arrested and only personal involvement of Indira Gandhi helped to get him out of the jail. Some say that Baba was her personal advisor during her last days. This holy man could not protect her but predicted the day she would die (she wrote about it).

Question by reporter: What do you eat?
Answer by Devraha Baba: Nothing by your standards.
Question by reporter: How old are you and do you remember your parents?
Answer by Devraha Baba: I do not have any age. I was born from the river Yamuna when it was blessed by Krishna.
(At this point somebody from the crowd commented that he is 200 years old or just under that.)
Question by reporter: People talk about the end of the world that is expected at the end of this century (this interview is dated to mid 1980s), can you comment on that?
Answer by Devraha Baba: This is a secret and the time has not come yet to reveal that. I can only say that what ever would happen will be good for the humanity, as I am praying for that.
Reporter says: After such an answer we had little hope for our next question: What can you say about the future of the Soviet Union? And here a miracle happened as we got a long answer from this Person who does not even know how a radio or a newspaper looks like:
Answer by Devraha Baba: Litva has distorted the Baltics and the 3 Republics would separate, other Republics would follow up. You are going thru a difficult period of suffering but at the end everything will be ok as you will be purged. Your President Gorbachev will visit India this or next year. Let him come over and I would give a good advice to him and bless.
Question by reporter: Can we pass on your message to him?
Answer by Devraha Baba: No, let him come in person.
Question by reporter: Can we get a blessing from you?
Reporter says: Here there was a delay for about 15 minutes during which he would glance at us with one eye, greenish and bottomless. Meanwhile it was commented from the crowd that his last blessing happened about 1 year ago and that he does not bless when people ask for it. So we were about to leave when Baba decided to bless me. I am going to comment on my feelings while it is happening. They say that usually insulation is used between the foot and a head to be on a safe side.
Reporter says: Later When saying goodbye Baba told us not to leave Delhi quickly after we would return there. We forgot all about it and went off to another assignment. Just recently we found that a train near Bombay was derailed. We were planning to take this train. Well, it could be just a coincidence, or maybe not?

Con una propuesta de movimiento corporal, la pieza llevará al espectador a través de la metamorfosis de una mujer y sus tres partos, todos concebidos de manera distinta. La pieza busca presentar las duras realidades de la mujer en sus distintas etapas de maternidad y los escollos que se encuentran ante el desconocimiento de maneras alternativas de traer al mundo a sus críos.
Esta propuesta dramática surge de la necesidad que existe en Puerto Rico de visibilizar maneras alternativas de dar a luz, ya que este País encabeza la lista de lugares con altas incidencias de cesáreas y mortalidad infantil.
Mujeres Ayudando Madres, (MAM) Inc. lleva como objetivo apoyar a las mujeres en la etapa de la maternidad y promover una cultura constructiva fundamentada en la salud física y psicológica de la familia. MAM responde a la necesidad que nuestra comunidad de Puerto Rico tiene a bajar las tasas de cesarías incesarías, aumentar la lactancia, bajar la cifra de violencia domestica, disminuir la dependencia gubernamental y apoyar a las
madres solteras de bajos recursos. Busca además, que cada mujer se arme con el conocimiento que necesita para tener un embarazo, parto y posparto saludable lleno de recuerdos positivos.
La mujer embarazada será encarnada por la actriz y dramaturga Viviana Torres Metsey junto a un elenco brillante de talento joven que lo completan Yadilyz Barbosa, Hiram Delgado, Noelia Montero y Maria Elena García. Todos bajo la dirección de Orlando Rodríguez y la asesoría musical de Javier Villar, El Tarot.
