Kanchivaram Tamil movie - Kanchivaram is a Tamil film directed and written by Priyadarshan. The movie stars Prakash Raj and Shriya Reddy in lead roles and has the musical score by M. G. Sreekumar, and art direction by Sabu Cyril. Film's story is set in the silk weavers' town of Kanchipuram, in post-independence India, though the film was shot mainly in Mysore.
The film was premiered and released at the Toronto International Film Festival on 12 September 2008. It was also shown at the Silk Screen Asian American Film Festival in Pittsburgh. The film eventually went on to receive the Best Film Award while and film's lead actor Prakash Raj won the Best Actor Award, both at the National Film Awards.

But with Mahjubi's skills taken away, will Moti be able to survive on his own? Will his new wife be able to offer him the support and skills in order to enable him to survive in his trade?

18-year old Ravi (Naresh) is the son of Swagruha Home Foods owner (Kota Sreenivasa Rao). He has a sweet childhood friend Aparna aka Appu (Swetha Agrawal), who also stays in same apartment complex in which Ravi lives. Appu's mother is a widow. Appu's father's ambition was to see Appu as a doctor. Ravi's father is a miser and doesn't give pocket money to Ravi. Appu helps him by giving money and sponsoring all his activities outside.
Ruchi (Nilambari) and her parents live in the flat opposite to Ravi's flat. Ruchi is a major flirt, who uses her boy friends to have lavish lifestyle and expensive gifts. Ravi falls head over heels on Ruchi. Though he starts admiring Ruchi, she hates his presence. Ravi attempts giving a love letter to Ruchi, but in vain. Hence, he requests Appu to pass on the love letter to Ruchi, without telling the source from which the love letter has come. Appu opens the letter and finds that it's a silly love letter. She writes a good and sensible love letter and passes it over to Ruchi. Ruchi starts loving her secret admirer.
One fine day, Ravi introduces himself as the one who has written the love letter and starts dating her. The love letter he wrote to Ruchi changes hands accidentally and as a result love blossoms between Ruchi's father and Ravi's mother. Appu starts feeling bad that her best friend loves a girl whose character is not good. At the same time, she also has some unknown feelings towards Ravi.
Ruchi invites Ravi to her place saying that she is all alone and she wants to give a 'special gift' to him. If you want to know what happened next and the wonderful scenes that followed later, you must watch the film on the silver screen.

Gundello Godari is a romance drama and lead actors' performances are the main highlight of the movie. Ilayaraja's melodious music and background score, MR Palanikumaar's cinematography, amazing CGI and art work, Kumar Nagendra's interesting screenplay, beautiful locations and costumes are its other attractions. The movie has its own share of drawbacks, which are ignored while you are glued to the screens. Gundello Godari opens with the scenes of heavy rainfall and the film soon goes into flashback mode, which reveals the love story between Aadi and Tapsee. But the first half gives little hint about the natural calamity and it throws more focus on the love story between two lead pairs. The first hour has three beautiful songs including one item number and a fight sequence. Despite not having comedy, it is quite interesting. Fisherman Malli (Aadi) and Chitra (Lakshmi Manchu) are a newly wed couple. They decide to narrate the past life, when they lose hope of survival due to devastating flood. Malli reveals his ambition to buy a fishing boat and his romance with a fishing merchant's daughter Sarala (Tapsee). Meanwhile, Chitra also reveals her love story with Suri (Sundeep Kishan). What made them break up with their loved ones? Will their confessions affect their relationship? Will they survive the flood? The answers to these questions should be seen on screen.

Vinod's decides to do so, and leaves Indu once again to shoulder the entire responsiblity of getting her two sisters married and looking after the household, he does not even invite them to his marriage. How long will life permit Indu and Sagar to wait? Will the younger sisters assist Indu or will they also turn up like Vinod?
